The chapel of the Nuestra Señora de Salvacion Mission Station in Brgy. Itangil, Dumaran, Palawan was heavily damaged during Super Typhoon Odette which ripped its roof.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay requested the help of Tanging Yaman Foundation to rebuild this as a chapel that can also be used for community gatherings and as an evacuation center during disasters. In anticipation that the mission area will later be converted into a parish, it was also agreed to build a bigger structure that will be declared the parish church.
Construction is proceeding quickly; the site is located near the highway, which facilitates the transport of materials. By October, the mission station's new 3-in-1 chapel will be completed.
