Taal Volcano Eruption Relief Operations Update #02

Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. together with the Ateneo de Manila University Disaster Response and Management Team (Ateneo DReaM Team) and the Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan, would like to thank all our donors and partners to all their donations for the Taal Volcano Eruption Relief Operations. On January 22, 2020, Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ, TYF Chairman, together with some volunteers from the Philippine Navy brought the relief goods to the Lipa Archdiocesan Social Action Center (LASAC).

The following were turned over to LASAC and will be distributed to Archdiocese of Lipa's accredited evacuation centers:

1000 pails of relief goods
400 pails of relief goods with 4L water
193 sacks of Rice (50kg per sack)
180 boxes of canned goods
80 boxes of instant noodles
10 boxes of medicines
800 pcs of 3 gal water

Update on the On-going Taal Relief Ops

Here's an update of the on-going Relief Operations at the Richie Fernando Covered Courts for the victims of the Taal Eruption. We already prepared 1,400 pails of relief goods which contains, ready-to-eat food, water, sanitary kits and toiletries, clothes, towels and blankets. They will be brought to the Evacuation Centers on January 22, 2020.

We continue to appeal to your generosity for any financial assistance or in-kind donations:

For In-kind donations, our drop-off center is located at the Richie Fernando Covered Court (ADMU, QC) we will be open until Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

For Monetary Donations, Cash/Check Donations may be made directly to Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. via our MetroBank account.

Tanging Yaman Foundation’s CALL FOR DONATIONS for the victims of the Taal Volcano Eruption.
As of January 15, 2020, around 50,000 persons were affected in Batangas and Cavite due to the eruption of Taal volcano.
We once again appeal to your generosity for any financial assistance or in-kind donations you can spare as we provide immediate relief to the families in Batangas and Cavite.
For In-kind donations, our drop-off center is located at the Richie Fernando Covered Courts (ADMU, QC) will be open on January 16-22, 2020 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Let us gather once more on Feb. 09, 2020 at the Meralco Theater, for the benefit of TYF’s Relief and Rehabilitation Programs of the recent natural disaster.

This back-to-back concert of Maestro Louie Ocampo and Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ will feature Martin Nievera, Bituin Escalante, Arman Ferrer and Lian Kyla, together with the Ateneo Chamber Singers, Bukas Palad Music Ministry, Hangad Music Ministry, Tinig Barangka Choir and The ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra.

for the victims of the Typhoon Kammuri (Tisoy)

Sharing with you the appeal from Ateneo de Naga University President, Fr. Robert Rivera, SJ:

“We once again appeal to your generosity for any financial assistance you can spare as we provide immediate relief to our outreach areas in hard hit towns of the northern part of Camarines Sur. Whatever funds are gathered will be used to buy urgently needed relief goods, most especially food, water, and toiletry kits. Any amount left over will be given directly to the social outreach centers of the Dioceses of Legazpi and Sorsogon. Bank details and instructions are provided below.

In this season of Advent our weary, waiting world anticipates with much hope the celebration of Jesus' birth. May our Advent commemoration become more meaningful as we reach out in prayer and aid to our brothers and sisters affected by this latest calamity.”
