Like other parishes in Bohol, the Blessed Trinity Cathedral Parish in Talibon banks on its extensive experience of volunteer-powered construction from the Balay sa Kabus (Homes for the Poor) project. Its 92nd house is funded by TYF's Odette Rehab project.

Volunteers have already finetuned their activities. The core team arrived in Guindacpan Island on Friday, March 10, and immediately laid down the concrete foundation and the house structure. The house is elevated in anticipation of rising water from storm surges. More volunteers arrived the following day. All in all, 30 volunteers constructed the house and prepared meals. By Saturday afternoon, the house was completed and blessed by Fr Dominador Amoncio, to the delight of the family of Uldarico and Constancia Panares.

Next Friday, March 17, the Talibon volunteers will set out for another island where they will build another house.
